John Abernethy BCom (Econ) LLB – Executive Director & Chief Investment Officer
As Clime’s Chief Investment Officer, John Abernethy has overall responsibility for funds management. John has over 25 years experience in funds management and corporate advisory services. Prior to establishing Clime, John’s roles included ten years at NRMA Investments as the head of equities, where he successfully managed investment portfolios totalling $2 billion. John founded Clime (formerly Loftus Capital Partners) in 1996. Through Loftus Capital partners, he advised high net wealth individuals on their investments and managed portfolios on their behalf.

Paul Jensen BCom FAICD - Non-Executive Director and Investment Committee Chairman
Paul Jensen is on the Board of Clime Investment Management and the Chairman of the investment committee. His career in funds management and investment banking in Australia, New Zealand and the UK covers more than 20 years. He has extensive experience in managing risk in the debt capital, foreign exchange and derivative markets. In the UK Paul worked with the leading value based management consultancy Marakon Associates, kindling his passion for value investing.

Richard Proctor BA (Hons) ACA - Chief Operating Officer and Finance Director

Richard has overall responsibility for the operational aspects of Clime and is the group Finance Director. Richard has expertise in managing all operational functions of a business and in ensuring that client requirements are met. He has extensive experience in managing operational teams in large international companies. Richard is an operations and finance executive with over 25 years experience and has held senior roles with Readers Digest, Time Warner, Barton Shipping, Heinz Food and Rothmans Tobacco in Australia and Europe.

Darren Katz BCom (Econ) CFA – Head of Distribution

Darren is responsible for business development and client service at Clime. He is an investments specialist with a financial markets career spanning 15 years. Prior to joining Clime, Darren worked with the offshore Fund Manager Infiniti Capital to assist in the set up of their Australian Funds Management operations. He  spent 6 years in an executive role with HFA Asset Management in Sydney where he had investment, distribution and operational responsibilities. Darren has held senior trading positions with Nedcor Investment Bank in South Africa and Macquarie Bank in Australia, managing portfolios in excess of USD 12 bn.

Eva Meland BA (Hons) MBA - Head of Marketing
Eva is responsible for the outward face of Clime to the market. She is a sales and marketing professional with 25 years experience gained in financial services, professional services and consulting in Australia, the UK and Asia. She has a degree in psychology from Sussex University and an MBA from MGSM. Prior to Clime, Eva was head of sales and marketing for PDD in the UK. Before this she worked for PwC in Sydney in a sales advisory capacity.

Jennifer El-Sibai BCom GAICD - Financial Controller and Company Secretary
Jennifer’s responsibilities include financial accounting, compliance and company secretarial matters. Her background is in commercial accounting within the finance and IT industries. She has also worked in Taxation for a Chartered accounting firm. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney and is studying to become a chartered accountant.

Dr Vincent Chin PhD Physics MSc Physics BSc Chemical Engineering FFin -Senior Investment Analyst
Vincent is resonsible for quantitative research, specialising in analysing the required return of companies. Vincent is an experienced equity research analyst and a specialist in quantitative company analysis and company valuation techniques. He gained prior his investment experience with Ausbil Dexia and Maxim Asset Management. Earlier in his career, Vincent completed 17 years of research and development in the semiconductor industry.

Guy Carson BCom MBus - Portfolio Manager
Guy is a portfolio manager at Clime, with a particular focus on forecasting the sustainable ROE of the companies we research. Prior to joining Clime, Guy was a portfolio manager at Adam Smith Asset Management where he ran their Micro cap fund, worked as an analyst and had responsibility for portfolio construction. Earlier in his career, he worked at Macquarie Private Bank, where he provided investment advice to high net worth individuals across all asset classes.
