Korvest Limited (ASX:KOV) was established in 1970 as a manufacturer and supplier of cable and pipe support systems, galvanising services and walkway systems for the construction, industrial and mining industries.
KOV operates predominantly from South Australia and comprises of:
- The industrial products group which includes the EzyStrut and Indax businesses; and
- The production group which includes the Korvest Galvanisers business.
Hills Industries Limited (ASX:HIL), the company responsible for the Hills Hoist is a major shareholder of KOV owning close to 50% of the issued capital as at 30 June 2010.
Korvest Galvanisers: Galvanising is a process by which corrosive metals such as steel and iron are covered in a non corrosive metal such as zinc. The process is usually done via dipping the metals into a “bath” of melted zinc.
The KOV galvanising plant is located in Kilburn, South Australia and houses Adelaide’s largest galvanising bath. This galvanising bath allows single dipping of items up to 13.5 meters in length and allows KOV to galvanise the rest of their product range in house allowing for quick product turnaround times.

KOV is part of The Galvanisers Association of Australia. The association is a not for profit organisation established in 1963 to provide technical consulting services to its members.
